ABC....The execution of plans....a chicken and some yam


As the cohort are close to the end of the project,the execution of the proposed plans for the project have begun.

The week was as usual a very busy week for the ABC team as this was the week that witnessed the planned sensitsation exercises on the importance of education,water management and personal hygiene in the various communities.The sensitisations were organised effectively as planned and it got better as the sensitisations went on from community to community.Resource persons from APDO and SNV were present to help with the sensitisations.

Kanvilli Tawfikiya was the first community  to witness the sensitisation on the 19th November.The IS volunteers, staff and interns from Creating Change and resource persons from APDO and SNV undertook various activities such as dramas, presentations among others and this made the sensitisations very lively and it went on as planned.The community also came out in their numbers to witness the sensitisation.

The next sensitisation was on the 21st November and this was at Tichelli which witnessed the chief and his community members coming out in their numbers for the sensitisation. Again the IS volunteers, staff and interns from Creating Change together with the resource person from APDO did their very best to make this sensitisation a good one. The volunteers were even awarded  chicken and multiple yam from the chief and elders to show their gratitude.

Tuasunnia was the community that had their sensitisation on the 22nd November which was also an effective one as it went on as planned. Although the resource persons invited were not able to make it, it was successful.The community members came out in their numbers to witness the sensitisation.
