GENEROSITY PERSONIFIED?

The first day of October, 2015 began much like any other day when I had direct contact with the word ‘Generosity’ – that is to say, direct contact with the Dagomba understanding of the word. As part of ICS and Create Change programme of improving access to quality education in rural communities, especially among girls, we made a visit to Damankungyili, Wayamba and Dungo. These are all rural communities within the Sanarigu Constituency in the Northern region of Ghana. To respect the saying among the Dagombas that “One does not side-step the landlord of a house into the house” our first port of call in each community was the chief’s palace.
